At Talking Heads Speech Pathology, our people matter. While our primary drive is to provide high quality speech therapy services to support the communication development of our clients, we are also focussed on being an employer of choice and we value our employees.
You may (or may not) be surprised to know that half of our team members are parents, including all of our management team. Needless to say, we understand the demands that being a working parent holds, and are able to work alongside each of our team members to create a working arrangement that is mutually beneficial and is tailored to each parents’ individual needs. We offer part-time and full time work hours, on an employee arrangement. As a speech pathologist, you do not need to source your own clients, nor do you have the pressure of being paid as a contractor. We provide the marketing and networks to build a client base that will grow and flourish as your personal reputation as a clinician grows. Flexible time in lieu arrangements allow you to finish early or start late as appropriate, and catch up on those hours at another time.
This may sounds too good to be true, but, don’t take our word for it. Here are some things our parents have had to say:
“Interested, supportive, understanding and flexible sums up my experience working for Talking Heads Speech Pathology as a single mother of 5. It’s fantastic to finally work with a team of people who understand the challenges and issues faced by working Mums.”
“The clinic was supportive of my availability when returning to work, understanding of my work-life balance and family commitments. I feel less stress than when working as a contractor, and enjoy being able to chat with other like-minded working mums about coping with the demands of motherhood and work.”
“I have really appreciated having a management team that were open to a gradual return to work after taking time off to have my daughter, and having flexibility around my workload and responsibilities. I was supported throughout my pregnancy, and continue to feel that my needs as a parent are respected alongside my responsibilities as an employee. I enjoy being able to catch up with other working parents and contribute to something that is achieving such great results within our community.”
As an established and highly reputable Speech Pathology Clinic, we are passionate about nurturing a team that are driven to be their best. As such, we are always open to welcoming great clinicians and administrators to our team, and ensure that we work alongside each of our team members to provide a safe, warm and welcoming working environment.
