Is your child starting school in 2019? While next year is still a number of months away, we are all set and ready to take registrations for our School Readiness Group Program which we have been facilitating within our community for a number of years.
Our program is run over two terms (eight weeks per term), in weekly 45 minute sessions. These small group sessions are facilitated by an experienced speech pathologist covering;

The paediatric caseload is varied, and includes; speech, language, stuttering, literacy and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Opportunity to work with an adult client caseload is certainly an option for those suitably experienced.
We have an amazing wealth of assessment and therapy resources available, ready to enhance your clinical skills and client care.
Mentoring/ training is provided where appropriate, and fantastic, full time administration support allows you to focus on being a great clinician!
Essential Criteria
– Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or equivalent
– 1-2 years (full time) minimum experience with a general paediatric caseload (preferred, but not essential – new graduates are welcome to apply).
– Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
– Eligibility for Speech Pathology Australia Membership

Our friends at St George Paediatric Dental Specialists have shared some interesting information around when a child should first see a dentist.
Australian and international paediatric dental associations recommend that a child should have their first dental check-up no later than 12 months of age, or within 6 months of teething. The one year-old check-up allows us to assess your child’s dental growth and development, and his or her risk of developing decay. At this visit, our specialists will assess your child’s medical and dental history, perform a dental check-up appropriate for your child and formulate a home care regimen.
We tailor our advice to you and your child, by providing helpful tips on matters such as teething, tooth cleaning and healthy feeding habits. Early establishment of healthy habits promote optimal oral health for life. Follow-up dental visits at time intervals suitable for your child’s needs will help build your child’s confidence in the dental setting.

Welcome to 2018 – we hope your year has started off well!
This year has started with a bang for Talking Heads with our MIRANDA rooms now available MONDAY to SATURDAY, as well as being located in a new room to accommodate our growing availability.
We are now located at Suite 17-19, 468-472 Kingsway, Miranda.
For locals – this is the medical building on the intersection of Karimbla Rd and Kingsway, opposite Sutherland Hospital and diagonally across from Kareena Hospital.
Some parking is available onsite, with the entrance located on Karimbla Rd.
We hope this new location is more accessible for everyone and don’t forget to book your place quickly, as spots are filling up!
